NOTICE TO ALL ALUMNI - Doc Mobley is scheduled to retire from FAMU in June 2003. The SBIAA and SBI are seeking the support of all alumni to give her the proper recognition for her contributions to FAMU, SBI and each of us. The Gala Event in the Dean's honor will be Saturday June 28, 2003 at the Leon County Civic Center. The festivities will begin with a reception for general attendees from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. The Gala Event will begin at 8:00 pm. A special VIP reception will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 pm for all designated VIPs and all who contribute $5,000 or more to the Endowed Chair. The School has scheduled a Gala Event to pay tribute to the Dean for her incredible contributions to the School, University and to the lives of her students. The Gala will also be the final part of a fundraising effort underway to raise $1.5 million for an endowed chair. The endowed chair will help the School attract a successor with the background, experience and vision necessary to ensure that SBI continues its commitment to producing outstanding leaders. Below are the preliminary details:
GOAL: A $1,500,000.00 endowed chair for SBI in the name of Dr. Sybil C. Mobley
TIMETABLE: All pledges before June 27, 2003 (i.e. before Gala); All payments in before 12/1/2003

Heritage Day Update
The Heritage Day Celebration on March 27 was a tremendous success. Thanks to all who participated.
